Crafting and validating the in-car AI experience for the first
fully electric Cayenne

As a UX/UI Design intern, I delved into several projects for Porsche HCP3 DX2.0 infotainment system, which will be published on the first full-electric Cayenne. Through research and design-driven projects, I’ve honed my skills in conducting independent interviews, synthesizing large data sets, and developing actionable insights to create effective MVPs.

My Learning

From Scripts to Conversations

Initially, my interview scripts were too detailed, limiting follow-up questions and making sessions feel like questionnaires. In my second round of research, I adopted a more conversational approach, which led to richer insights and deeper user understanding.

Building Insight Through Composure and Research

My biggest personal improvement during sessions was learning to stay composed, which helped me observe users' actions and expressions in detail, inspiring probing questions that reveal core pain points. Besides I've found that truly insightful questions often rely on thorough market research.

Balancing Innovation and Safety

As a newcomer to the automotive industry, I found designing HMI interfaces both creatively freeing and challenging due to stringent safety standards. It requires balancing innovation with rigorous safety considerations, pushing me to think critically about user interactions in high-stakes environments.
